Irrigation Resources and Tandula Projects in Durg District

Abstract
Water is the pillar of life of people living in every region of the world. Water is life. Water is the basis of life of all the animals and plants found on the surface. In the absence of water, many activities of plants, trees, animals, animals and the environment are not possible. Water is a priceless resource of nature. All the biological activities of life in living things take place in the presence of water. Water is the mainstay of all animals, plants and human life. Water is used as a resource for agriculture, industry and domestic use. According to the geographical structure, the main river of the state, the tributaries of Mahanadi - Kharun, Tadula, Shivnath and Kharkhara river, flow in Durg district. In 1906, the agricultural land in Durg district was rain-fed. There was not much development of agricultural land. According to the population and the standard of living, there was limited production of agriculture in the average annual rainfall. Tandul reservoir was created after four years of the establishment of the district.
