Procedures for editing

Peer review with a double-blinding system

A double-blind peer review process was used for this publication. This means that during peer review, the author will remain anonymous to the reviewers.

  • Names of authors, affiliations, and any other potentially identifying information should be removed from the original text and any associated files (such as supplemental material figures).
  • A separate Title Page should be submitted, with the title, author names, affiliations, and the relevant author's contact information. This page should also include any acknowledgements, disclosures, or financing information;
  • Authors should avoid referring their own work in such a way that their identity is revealed.
