Drinking Water Problem in Jhabua District: A Geographical Study

Abstract
Water is the most important of all other resources. Due to the increasing population, human needs are increasing at a rapid pace, due to which they are exploiting the natural resources in more and more quantity. The tribal dominated Jhabua district of South-West Madhya Pradesh has been selected for the study; mainly the primary data has been selected. Which have been compiled through interview schedule? The study of natural and humanized water resources available in Jhabua district talks about That the area has a problem of drinking water in all seasons except the rainy season and the main source of drinking water is only hand pump, for which mostly one has to go for 1 to 3 km. Geographical environment of the district, due to low rainfall area, hilly terrain, low rainfall and lack of water resources, the water level is also very low. Due to which only hand pumps can be used for drinking water here.
