Abstract

Pathalochan is professionally related to the reading or text of any book. According to Dr. Postgate- The accepted skill and method implicit process in the context of determining the format of the original text of a composition is called reading. By text we mean a meaningful text composed in a language which is more or less known to the investigator, and about which something is said or can be said with certainty.  Therefore, in such a situation, it is very necessary to get acquainted with the history of the period in which the texts were dispatched, from that period till the time of the emergence of the art of printing, to clarify the nature of the problems being faced by the reader. The basic purpose of reading is to select and control the evidence available in a handwritten text document, so that the original ancient text can be reached and the authenticity of the text can be proved or, as far as possible, the intended words of the author can be traced. Because due to various reasons the desired words cannot be sentences. In other words, it can be said that as far as possible with a skillful and scientific method, the basic aim of the text is to use human intelligence in determining the form of a text in its original form. By original form, we mean the nature of the original written text by the author. The task of determining this type of text is called critical revision. In this way, proper knowledge of the meaning of the correct words is obtained from the reading and the search of the scriptures is done to know the original form. Along with this, the knowledge of the desired words of the author and commentator becomes available to the literature lovers. There are different types of criticism, which is visible in the signal commentary.
