A study of Political Awareness Status of Tribal Women

Abstract

In the present research paper, the status of political awareness among tribal women has been studied in the context of Chhuria development block of Rajnandgaon district. Since tribal women's public representatives have to work under the protection of their father/husband, due to lack of awareness, they remain unaware of the future losses due to not being able to decide right and wrong. Tribal women have been provided opportunities for political development through reservation.  But such conditions were not created so that they could take advantage of the opportunities. The political problems of tribal women are of many types and the biggest problem is self-determination. To strengthen the existing consciousness among the tribal women through this research paper so that they can feel safe to live equal life in society and country. In this regard, an attempt has been made to meet the tribal people's representatives of Chhuria development block to know their problems through interview questionnaire. Lastly, an effort has been made to promote women empowerment through suggestions.
