Abstract

As a result of the process of industrialization and urbanization, the disabilities which have been traditionally prevailing on this class have started decreasing gradually, but its pace is very slow. Due to the same constitutional protection, education, reservation and government-run schemes, social and economic mobility is seen in Valmiki society. But the expected results are yet to come.  Under the present research study "A sociological study of the status and dynamics of Valmiki society" (a study with special reference to Indore district of Madhya Pradesh), the status and dynamics of Valmiki society has been studied. To complete the study, 300 families located in Indore district have been selected by the method of divine observation. In this way, 30-30 respondents from each area of ​​10 colonies and tehsils were selected for research work.
