Engagement of Rural Women in Various Employment Activities
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social and economic scientists are of the opinion that women's participation is necessary to accelerate the development of developing countries. The idea of complete development by keeping half of the population away from the public and national life stream will be meaningless. As a result of economic pressures, the attitude of women has become employment oriented. To make the status of rural women engaged in different types of employment in different households more clear, we use chi-square. And by this method, make suitable hypotheses for testing. It is known from the study that women in rural areas are getting income from different types of employment activities without being dependent on any one employment. The employment work available in rural areas is done equally by women of all caste groups living there. There is no difference in the level of engagement of caste, educational and age group towards a particular employment.
