Abstract

Dr. N. Adinarayana is currently at Bharayar University. He is Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology and Population in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. His book Urban Elderly in India: Care and Support is divided into eight chapters, in which he studied 768 senior citizens of Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu. Through this he has tried to explain what kind of social, economic and emotional support the elderly get; At the same time they have also described how they get feedback from other people; The present article is a review of his book; The publication of the said book was done by B.R.
