Abstract

The essential conditions of human life depend on their social, cultural and geographical environment. The all-round ability of a person's health is based on the health of his bodily components, which, by interacting in various environmental action-circles, the organism progresses towards evolution. The present research is based on the problem of maternal and child health in Mavasi tribe of Kukrapani village located in Junnardev development block of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh state.  In which some aspects of health have been included in the diet of pregnant women and breastfeeding and supplementary feeding of infants by mothers. From which it has been concluded that the health status of this tribe is very low. 91.66 percent pregnant women of this tribe consume Kodo, Kutki in special types of food, and only 55.00 percent women do health check-up at the time of pregnancy. The reason for having such health problems in the Mavasi tribe is due to inadequate food, lack of health awareness, illiteracy, low economic status, ignorance and poverty, for which the government should take the above steps.
