The Effect of Yoga Practice (Surya Namaskar, Yoga Nidra And Self-Study) on The Level of Adjustment And Emotional Intelligence

Abstract

The main objective of the present paper is yoga practice, which includes Surya Namaskar, Yoga Nidra and Swadhyaya; The combined effect of this is to be seen on the adjustment level and emotional intelligence of the students. In this study, P. J. Higher secondary School, Khedli Bazar, District- Betul (Madhya Pradesh) 60 students (30 boys and 30 girls) were selected as subjects, who were again divided into two groups of 30-30 subjects, experimental group and control group. The juvenile adjustment scale developed by Ragini Dubey and the Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) developed by Hyde, Pethe and Dhar (2000) were used for data collection. Statistical analysis of the obtained data was done by t-test and in the results it was found that yoga practices: Surya Namaskar, Yoga Nidra and self-study have a significant effect (0.01 levels) on the adjustment level and emotional intelligence of the students.
