Relevance of Teachings of Santa Guru Ghasidas

Abstract

It is known from the perusal of the life of Saint Shiromani Guru Ghasidas that Baba never deviated from the path of struggle of life in spite of adverse circumstances. Despite the troubles moment by moment, he went among the people and did the virtuous task of awakening them. Social inequality was prevalent in Baba's era environment. The upper class people used to look at him and his society with disgust.  The society was dominated by blind faith, untouchability, high and low and external ostentation. All these discrepancies were uprooted by Saint Guru Ghasidas through his teachings and speeches.
