Abstract

The biggest obstacle of the country is regarding higher education, due to which the Minister of Human Resource Development in a conference of Vice Chancellors called higher education a sick child who needs immediate treatment so that good opportunities can be given to the youth of the country. Presently, the participation of private sector educational institutions is increasing; their influence is also increasing continuously. Increasing the availability of education is a challenge and increasing the quality of education is an even bigger challenge. Today, there is a dire need of concerted efforts for the young generation of India, both at the policy and at the implementation level. In Indian society it would be quite appropriate to say when we a classified society is a living example of such an inert society. There is a need for a fundamental change in education. The burning question is that how the education system should be reconstructed and re-fixed for the knowledge of the society? Can our universities meet the world class challenges? This needs to be discussed nationwide. India will have to take initiative to improve its higher education system, foreign institutions and brands can only cooperate in this.
