Women's Place in Indian Society

Abstract

For the past few decades, efforts are being made to give women equal status in the society with men. With the promotion of education, government policies and the efforts of social reformers, there has been some improvement in her condition, today she is crossing the four walls of the house and touching new heights on her own in various areas of life. As women's education got a boost, Self-reliance has increased due to job; business, but even today women have not been freed from the bitterness of torture and bondage. Now the time has come when women become aware and say, no more and maybe never. The condition of women at the grassroots level is remarkable. Much more important and important to them than economic and political rights is the right to live happily and respectfully in society, a feeling of self-reliance, the right to breathe in an open and respectful environment.
