Evaluation of Khadi Village Industries schemes in the generation of income and employment

Abstract
To promote industry in rural areas of India, many government schemes are being operated so that employment can be established. At present, cottage and small scale industries are being run under more than 1.25 lakh khadi village industries. The study of the changes taking place in the field of self-employment due to the schemes of khadi village industries in the form of income and employment in the form of complementary industries to agriculture is the main topic of the present research. In this research paper, primary and secondary equations have been used in the clarification analysis of facts and in the formulation of conclusions. The study area has been taken as rajnadgaon district of chhattisgarh. The study shows that there has been a steady increase in the three types of schemes run by khadi village industries, prime minister's employment generation schemes, family development oriented schemes and artisan training schemes from 2008.09 to 2013-14.
