Abstract

Modern Hindi poetry continued to flow by assimilating many trends. Along with the change of era, changes were also seen from the point of view of language and craft of poetry. Change is always visible in modern Hindi poetry in Bharatendu era, Dwivedi era, Chhayavadi era and Progressive era. After the poetic stream of Progressivism, the poetic stream that was formed in literature is experimentalism. The experimental poet is a realist; he accepts concrete intellectualism in place of sentimentality. Girija Kumar Mathur is the representative poet of the new poetry stream of Hindi. They have paved the way for new poetry; have established accepted autonomy and relative independence. In his poetry, the voices of love, separation, nature, nationality, humanity etc. are included. Poet Mathur included the inequalities, pain, despair, exploitation, oppression of his era in poetry and also opposed injustice, atrocities, exploitation with great boldness and fairness.
