Socio-Economic Study of Tribal Society

Abstract

Important studies have been done from time to time in the subject of sociology and social work on tribal society. Change is the law of life. Since tribal society is also a part of nature, various changes take place in it too. Urbanization, industrialization, development plans and means of mass communication have brought radical changes in this society. Their contact with the urban community has also increased continuously. This is the reason that changes are constantly taking place in the social and economic structure of the tribal society. In these changing circumstances, socio-economic study of tribal society is necessary so that better plans can be made for their development on the basis of the findings obtained. Present study is in the context of tribal society of Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state.
