Abstract

It is the dream of our nation to become a knowledge super power till 2020. We can realize it if our youths, the greatest strength of the country can utilize their potentialities best. For this our higher education system, which comprises substantial proportion of our youths, must be qualitative and must get maximum benefit from ‘Globalization’. But the existing scenario of our country is something different .The first part of this article reflects the present condition of our higher education system and its place in today’s competitive global market. The second part gives some suggestive steps to maintain quality in our higher education system so that our youths can be most benefited from it.
