Role of Teacher in the value education of Government and Vidya Bharati schools

Abstract

Value is an intangible asset; it is related to the emotional side of the human being. The ability to judge good and bad behavior is value. Value education is a process which is communicated to the students by the teachers in the school and other elders in the home and society which is related to all the aspects of personality. Value education is an activity, in the development of values, the attitude of the school, its internal system, the ideal of teachers, mutual cooperation, feelings towards children, etc. is important. , then there are more possibilities of proper development of values, good and well-organized classroom teaching of the school is also very helpful in the development of values.  The development of moral and spiritual elements is done more by classroom teaching, while teaching, it is necessary for the teachers to keep in mind that there should be a relation between the moral and spiritual elements of various subjects and the relation of teaching should be established with life. The role of the teacher in the development of values ​​is to make the students aware of the right values, right feelings, right thoughts and right actions by the teacher.  Therefore, the teacher should behave in front of the students as he wants to teach. The purpose of the study is to find out the role of teacher in value teaching of schools run by government and Vidya Bharati Is. For this observation schedule developed and prepared by the researcher was used.  A total of 22 teaching procedures have been included in this observation schedule, the observer himself sat back in each class and observed each teacher and provided frequency. The census was conducted by the government and Vidya Bharati. The analysis found a significant difference in the role of teachers in value education in both the schools.
