A Comparative Study of Physical Health among Boys and Girls of Tribal Areas

Abstract

Presented research study Danteshwari P.G., Government of Dantewada district. In the session 2016-17 of the college, B.Sc. is related to the study of health of boys and girls studying in the first year Bio subject group. Out of 202 boys and girls of B.Sc first year Bio subject group, a comparative study of physical health has been done by including 160 scheduled tribe boys and 25 girls (total 50) out of girls. This study is based on observational method research, in which significance test has been done by t-test method, mainly by calculation of size and weight and by studying other supporting study points. In this study, it was found that girls were found to have more regular health check-ups than boys, while the cleanliness of their body is taken care of by all boys and girls,  But in terms of cleanliness of the surroundings, the number of girls was found to be less as compared to boys. Similarly, in comparison to girls, lesser attention was found to be paid to the information about government schemes and nutritious food in comparison to girls. However, on the basis of BMI, the health condition of girls is better than that of boys. In summary, higher health status was found in girls than boys.
