The relevance of the effort and success of the restoration of Buddhism in India

Abstract
Among those who played an important role in the development and propagation of Buddhism, four names have been very important in Buddhism for about two and a half thousand years - 'Tathagata Buddha', who is the founder of Buddhism itself. The original promoters of Buddhism have been, 'Emperor Ashoka' who propagated this religion to other countries outside India, 'Harshavardhana' through whom Buddhism provided very strong shelter and 'Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar' who is still known in world history as the reformer of Buddhism. Along with this, Anagarik Dharmapal, Bhadant Anand Kaushalyayan, Honorable Kanshi Ram and Mayawati etc. have made invaluable contribution in the propagation of Buddhism. Modern education has exposed the social and religious hollowness of Brahmanism, the futility of caste and ethnicity. On the other hand, Buddhism has influenced the spirit of equality, liberty and fraternity and moral education in public life. Therefore, the propagation of this Dhamma once again reminds us of the India of Ashoka's time. If this wave of renaissance continues, then the day is not far when India will be established as an "enlightened India".
