Impact of Migration on Older Persons - A Sociological Study

Abstract

 The present research paper is based on a sociological study of the effect of migration on older people. For the study, 40 families of two villages affected by labor migration of Raipur district have been selected by divine guidance. The facts have been collected through interview-schedule. It has been found from the study that after the young members of the family migrate from the migrant families, the elderly have to face many problems.  Especially those old people whose age is more than 70 years. Physical and economic problems are the main problems of the elderly.
