Due to the impact of western culture on the Indian society and due to industrialization, individualistic attitudes are becoming stronger in the family, due to which each member of the family only fulfills his own interests and selfishness. Works At the same time, increasing poverty is hollowing out the foundation of family organization, its peace and stability. Most of the families in India lived jointly in earlier times. In modern times, disintegration is being seen in the joint family. There have been many important changes in the situation of the nuclear family after its dissolution. In this study, the percentage literacy rate of joint family and the status of urbanization in different states of the country, the level of education of nuclear families and the information about the economic condition of nuclear family after separating from joint family, survey and The secondary data was obtained through From the analysis of the data, it was found that joint family has a negative relationship with literacy rate and urbanization. As the percentage of literacy rate and urbanization is increasing in the country, the percentage of joint families also decreases. Used to be. Educated people do not like to live in joint family. And after separating from the joint family, the economic condition of most nuclear families has improved.
