Abstract

In today's environment, many mothers have to work outside the home, so their work area has expanded so that their family will not remain untouched, especially their children, so what will be the level of emotional intelligence in the children of such mothers? And how will the emotional intelligence of a nonworking mother's students differ, in the present research work, the study of emotional intelligence of students  having working mothers and students having home mothers has been done in a systematic manner. The problem of the present study is that "what will be the effect of mothers being working or nonworking on the emotional intelligence of the students". For this, data was collected by the students of class 11th and 12th.  In knowing the emotional intelligence, the study of emotional intelligence of students studying at higher secondary level was done using a scale developed by Dr. Anita Soni and Dr. Ashok Sharma. (2009). The “t” value was found to be 2.64 between the emotional intelligence of the  both types of students, which is significant at 0.01 level, so it is clear that there is a significant difference in the emotional intelligence of the students of working and nonworking mothers.
